Detailed Description:
Cas No. :58-86-6
D-Xylose or wood sugar is an aldopentose obtained from plants rich in hemicelluloses, such as sawdust, rice straw and corn cobs. D-Xylose can be dissolved in hot ethanol and pyridine easily. D-Xylose’s sweetness is 67% of sucrose. Xylose has similar chemical properties to glucose, and it can be reduced to corresponding alcohol, i.e. xylitol, or oxidized into 3-hydroxy glutarate.
Xylose is the main material for the production of xylitol in China, and xylose was approved as a non-calorific sweetener by several countries. State-of-the-art facility, skilled and committed R&D team, experienced in both chemical and biochemical disciplines ensure that we can provide high quality, cost-effective products.
