The chemical formula for dimethyl sulfoxide is (CH3)2SO, it is a colorless liquid and used as an important aprotic polar solvent that dissolves both polar and nonpolar compounds and is miscible in a wide range of organic solvents as well as water. The dimethyl sulphoxide is soluble in many organic solvents, such as Ethanol, propanol, benzene, chloroform, water and other organic matter. The dimethyl sulfoxide liquid has the special property of being easily permeable to the skin, causing the user to feel like oysters.
