  Application,
  Biochemistry Agonist of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, affecting the synapses in the insect central nervous system. Mode of action Active by ingestion and by contact; also exhibits root-systemic activity. Uses Controls a range of hemipterous and other pests, at 100-200 g/ha.
  
  Controls a range of sucking insects, such as whiteflies, plant bugs, leafhoppers and mealybugs; Coleoptera, such as Colorado beetles and flea beetles; Diptera, such as leaf miner flies; and certain Lepidoptera, such as fruit moth, in vegetables, fruit, paddy rice and turf. Can be applied on foliage, soil, nursery boxes and to paddy water by spray, drench, broadcast and pricking-in-hole treatments.
