Detailed Description:
Product Introduction
SilibasePU-8618 is a silicone polyether copolymer that has been designed to provide superior broad process latitude in all grades of conventional slabstock foam.
SilibasePU-8618 is a surfactant for manufacturing flexible polyurethane foams, being particularly well-suited for medium foam densities. SilibasePU-8618 exhibits an unusual broad processing latitude. Fluctuations of the stabilizer or tin level will therefore not result in strong deviations of the foam porosity as observed with standard surfactants.
This is of particular interest in foam formulations which have a relative tight cell structure like foams blown at least partially by methylene chloride. The advantages of the product are a combination of a broad processing latitude with a relatively high potency, the good performance in foam flammability tests and furthermore the prevention of splits in formulations containing mineral fillers.
Key Features and Benefits
1.Provides superior foam process latitude for the full range of conventional slabstock polyether foams on all types of foam
production equipment.
2.Yields the foam with good breathability profile for all formulation over a wide range of silicone and tine catalyst levels.
3.Provides fine, even cell structure, thus imparts the foam with better hand feeling.
4.Reduces density gradients in very tall buns.
5.Medium activity, sponge machining processing tolerance is very wide, vertical foaming, Foam hole is fine, Suitable for
density of 15-35kg/m3 sponge.
