Description:

Name: calcium stearate
Molecular formula: Ca(C17H35COOH)2
Molecular weight: 606
White fine powder, non-toxic, slightly soluble in hot ethanol. It will be decomposed to stearic acid and Ca salts when reacting with strong acids. It easily absorbs the moisture in the air.
Applications:
1. For PVC hard products: used as stabilizer and lubricant, it can accelerate the gelatin speed together with the basic lead salt and lead soap.
2. For PE and PP: used as halogen absorbing agent, it can eliminate bad effects of residual catalyst on resin’s color and stability.
3. For polyolefin fiber and plastic model product: used as lubricant and mold-releasing agent.
4. For rubber processing: used as mold-releasing agent, plasticizer, intensifier for lubricating grease, water-proof agent for textiles, flatting agent for pain industry, etc.
5. Also can be used in food additive, feed additive and cosmetics.
