TFA's industrial grade xanthan gum is a white or light beige powder easily soluble in hot and cold water neutral in solution dispersed in water emulsified into a stable hydrophilic viscous colloid. It has high viscosity high acid resistance alkali resistance salt characteristics high heat stability suspension thixotropy etc. and is often used as a thickener emulsifier suspending agent stabilizer and oil drilling mud additive.

TFA's industrial grade xanthan gum has the following characteristics:
1. Viscosity: The low-concentration solution has the characteristics of high viscosity (the viscosity of 1% aqueous solution is equivalent to 100 times of gelatin) and it is an efficient thickener.
2. Shear resistance (pseudoplasticity): Xanthan gum solution has high viscosity under static or low shear and shows a decrease in viscosity under high shear but the molecular structure does not change. When the shearing effect disappears the viscosity returns to normal.
3. Temperature resistance: In a wide temperature range (minus 18 ° C-120 ° C) its performance remains basically unchanged.
4. Salt resistance: Under high salt concentration conditions its solubility is maintained without precipitation and flocculation even in saturated salt solution and its viscosity is hardly affected.
5 acid and alkali resistance: its solution viscosity remains basically unchanged within the range of PH value 1-12.
6. Compatibility and synergy: It has good compatibility in the same solution system as acid alkali salt preservative natural or synthetic thickener. With guar gum locust bean gum and other polysaccharide gums can produce synergy and double the viscosity.
7. Anti-oxidation and enzymolysis: The stable double helix structure of xanthan gum makes it have strong anti-oxidation and anti-enzyme ability.
8. Suspensibility: Good suspension effect for insoluble solids and oil droplets.
