L-Rhamnose Monohydrate is a naturally occurring deoxy sugar. It can be classified as either a methyl-pentoseor a 6-deoxy-hexose. Rhamnose occurs in nature in its L-form as L-rhamnose (6-deoxy-L-mannose).
L-Rhamnose Monohydrate is also calledα-L-Rhamnopyranose, 6-Dexoxy-D-mannose, 6-Deoxy-L-mannose, Isodulcite, L-Mannomethylose. Most of Rhamnose in nature is L-Rhamnose, existing in plants as the types of Polysaccharides, glycosides, plant gum and bacterial polysaccharides.
