  Rosin modified maleic anhydride resin is the slight yellow transparent solid, which is adducts of
  gum rosin and maleic anhydride through the esterification by glycerol or pentaerythritol.

  Dissolved in cool tar, esters, turpentine oil and similar solvents; undissolved in alcoholic
  solvents; partially dissolved in petroleum products; mix well with plant oils; light color; resistant
  to yellowing; heat resistant; highly adhesive.
  Application
  They are used in paint and coating industries widely, for production of phenolic paints (through
  polymerization with platoils); improve hardness of paint films, gloss and rubbing property for
  Polyesters, Nitro and PU paints;as adhesive or binder for thermosol and road marking paints.
