Siraitia grosvenorii (Swingle) C. Jeffery is a Cucurbitacease sylvestris genus, mainly produced in Guilin, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangdong, Hunan and other places. The mature Luo Han Guo fruit is very sweet and mainly rich in cucurbitane-type tetracyclic triterpenoid saponins. Among them, mogroside V is the main sweet component with a dry weight content of 1.6%. Currently, mogroside extracted from the fruit of Siraitia grosvenii has been widely used in the beverage and food additive industry as an ideal low-calorie natural sweetener.
