  Property: Light yellow transparent oil-like liquid at ambient temperature with melting point of 13.4, specific gravity of 0.8905. Not soluble in water, soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol and petrol. It turns into stearic acid when hydrogenated, and has the general chemical properties of carboxylic acid and unsaturated double bonds.
  Application: It is used in the manufacture of surfactants, plasticizers, synthetic detergents, dimer acid, polyamide, alkyd resin; Also used in printing ink, paints, coatings, textiles and daily chemical industry.
