  Product Features
  1.XL-B501 is tall oil modified thermoplastic phenol - formaldehyde resin. As efficient reinforcing resin, it functions with methylene donor, thus it can improve the hardness, tearing resistance, abrasion resistance,strength and elongation performance of the rubber, prolong the burning time and lower Mooney viscosity of the rubber mixture.
  2 .It has good plasticity during processing,thus it is beneficial to the dispersion of filler.
  3.As reinforcing and stiffening material, reinforcing resin XL-B501 need hexamethylene tetramine(HMT) whose amount is equivalent to 10% of of reinforcing resin as crosslinking agent. HMT can also be substituted with other methylene donor, such as hexamethoxymethyl melamine (HMMM).
  4.In order to prevent scorching in the process of rubber mixing, reinforcing resin XL-B501 should be added in the early stage of mixing in order to play its plasticizing effect, while the methylene donor should be added with accelerator and sulfur in final refining section in the late stage of mixing.
  5. XL-B501 has the function of tackifier,plasticizer and softener before vulcanization and reinforcing effect after vulcanization.
  
  Applicaiton suggestion:
  XL-B501 is mainly used to harden the rubber compound of the tire bead.
  The amount recommended is 5-15share.
