Detailed Description:
Polychloroprene, SN 241:
Introduction:
SN241 is a mercaptan modified chloroprene rubber with excellent adhesive strength and produced using a Nairit recipe and process technology. SN241 has a high crystallization rate and can be seen as an equivalent to the AD-10 grade from Dupont.
Characteristics:
Good processability, no adhering to rolls in milling; Good resistance to oil, chemicals, sunshine and abrasion; Good flame retardency; Low compression set; Good storage stability; Excellent physical property.
Comparable grades:
Dupont: Neoprene AD-10
Denka: Denka A-70
Lanxess: Baypren 320
Application:
SN 241 is a basic raw material for adhesive formulation. It can be used alone or mixed with other grades to achieve the desired viscosity. SN 241 is especially suitable for low viscosity adhesives or those which are to be applied using spraying techniques.
As an adhesive raw material it finds wide application in bonding leather, wood, metal and construction materials.
