bFGF is a heparin binding growth factor, which stimulates the proliferation of a wide variety of cells including mesenchymal, neuroectodermal and endothelial cells. bFGF is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain of 17 kDa containing 155 amino acid residues.
