It is easily soluble in ethyl acetate, acetone, ethanol, propanol, chloroform, ethyl ether, carbon disulfide, ammonia, sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate and other alkali solutions, and is slightly soluble in benzene. Insoluble in water and gasoline.
