Use Characteristics:
The curing accelerator CBS-80 provides a considerably long scorch time, great processing safety and a fast full cure. CBS-80 is used as a sole accelerator for the low sulphur vulcanization or in combination with dithiocarbamate or thiuram accelerators. The vulcanizates obtained have good ageing resistance and a good compression set. The scorch time of compounds containing CBS-80 in combination with thiurams and dithiocarbamates is noticeably reduced. Thiourea has a strong secondary acceleration effect on CBS-80, mainly in mixes containing little sulphur. In compounds which are accelerated with mercaptanes and thiu-rams, CBS-80 may delay scorching.
Processing Advantages The thermoplastic, excellent compatible EPDM/EVA binder which is combined with active dispersing promoters allows much more easy quickly incorporation and excellent dispersion in the rubber mixing. In this way, optimal activity of the effective CBS is assured.
