Now it is widely used as a solvent in the field of pharmaceuticals, coatings, printing ink, adhesives, curing agent, cleaning agent/detergent, thinning agent, diluting agent, resin production and acetic acid dehydration.
Sec-butyl acetate replaces Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) to improve the gasoline octane value.
