  Silicon nitride whisker has type A and type B, generally are pale, molecular formula: Si3N4, relative molecular weight is 140.28, there are two kinds of forms, direct whisker, whisker and helical spring form whisker, A- Si3N4 is generally straight whisker, diameter is 0.7 to 1.9μ M, length is 1 to 2μ M; B - Si3N4 is primarily helical spring form whisker, the diameter is 0.5 to 1.0μ M, spiral diameter is 10 to 15μ M, the pitch is 3 to 5μ M, turns are 10 to 40.
