Description:
Passivation liquid is a concentrated product, specially designed to passivate pickled components made of stainless steel. Austenitic stainless steel is rapidly covered with a uniform dense and protective layer of iron and chromium oxides, providing a high degree of corrosion protection. The metal is then passive.
Passivation is a process performed to make a surface passive, i.e., a surface film is created that causes the surface to lose its chemical reactivity. It can result in the very much-desired low corrosion rate of metal by eliminating the unnecessary corrosion risks. The passive layer increase the thickness of the surface and helps stainless steels to keep their corrosion resistance, even when mechanical damage occurs and so they have an in-built self-repairing corrosion protection system .

Application:
Pickling and passivation liquid is used for general industrial purpose stainless steel equipment and piping to be used in various industries such as petrochemical industry, vessel pipe, foodstuff, pharmaceutical and paper industry etc. The products also act as a cleaning agent on austenitic steel and duplex stainless steel that is in a good state but has been contaminated with dirt.
Usage and dosing:
Pickling and passivation is used in three ways: by the circulation method, by the spraying method and by the soaking method. Suggest soaking time is 5-15 minutes in summer, 20-30 minutes in winter. Coverage per kg can treat about 60-70 square meter stainless steel surfaces. Dip or spray in This-126 passivation solution and leave for about 15-20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water .
