Sulfolane can be used to extracting aromatic hydrocarbon from the oil, also can be used the purification agent for natural gas, synthetic gas, and other acid gases, removal of sulfuretted hydrogen and carbon dioxide. It can be used as polymers such as polyacrylonitrile, acrylonitrile copolymer, polyvinyl fluoride and other solvents, used in spinning manufacture of film. It also can be used as plasticizers such as cellulose ethers, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene, polyamide, the additives for acrylic fiber spinning. It can be used for the separation of fatty acids, extracted non-cellulose from components of wood, as the vehicle of condensation , added to Pressed oil to improve corrosion resistance , fire-resistant thermal , stability, viscosity.
