  Function
  A broad spectrum0 insecticide and 0acaricide 0with0 some nematicidal properties. It controls 0Aphididae in cereals at 320-600 g AI (20% EC)/ha, in fruit at 75-125 g/100l. When incorporated at 1-2 kg AI (20% EC)/ha in the soil prior to planting, it controls Agrotis spp. and other cutworms. It can penetrate plant tissue, but has no systemic activity.
  Physical and chemical properties
  Light brown oil, mp 0-5°. Vapor pressure 2.9 ´ 10-6 mbar (303 K). d 1.247. Soly at 296 K: 39 ppm in water. Soly at 298 K (g/100 ml): n-hexane 0.7, toluene 30, ethyl acetate 30, acetone 30, ethanol 30. LD50 in rats (mg/kg): 82 orally, 1100 dermally (Thier). LD50 in rats (mg/kg): 107 i.p.; in rabbits (mg/kg): 280 dermally (Hay).

  Uses
  Broad-spectrum insecticide and acaricide with contact and stomach action. Non-systemic, but penetrates deeply into plant tissues. Control of aphids, thrips, midges, beetles, lepidopterous larvae, cutworms and other soil insects, spider mites and other species of mite, etc. in ornamentals, fruit trees (including citrus - 0.03%-0.1%), vegetables (200-600 g/ha), cotton (250-600 g/ha), rice (200-400 g/ha), vines, bananas, strawberries, oilseed rape, cereals, sugar beet, sugar cane, maize, soya beans, peanuts, guavas, mangoes, oil palms, olives, coffee, grassland, and in forestry. Also controls some free-living nematodes, particularly in ornamentals and strawberries, and as a bulb dip for tulips and garlic.
