  Trypsin is a white or whitish crystalline powder. It is a proteolytic enzyme. It can selectively hydrolyze the peptide chain which is constructed of the carboxyl from lysine or arginine. It can digest the dissolved denatured protein but have not effect on the non-denatured proteins, so it can be used for decomposing and diluting pus, sputum and blood clots and then they can be easily removed to accelerate the cleaning of the wound surface and to promote the rebirth of the granulation tissue. More over, it has the function of anti-inflammation.
