Light yellow to amber oily viscous liquid. The relative density (25/4 °C) is 1.06-1.10, and the refractive index is 1.4756. Viscosity 0.4-0.7Pa·s (25°C), flash point 10°C. Soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, vegetable oil, ethyl acetate, methanol, toluene insoluble in mineral oil. It becomes gummy at low temperatures and recovers after heating. It has a special smell and a slightly bitter taste. |
Uses |
Used as emulsifier, wetting agent, penetrant, diffusion agent, etc., also used as a component of woolen and viscose cord oil opening agent. It is used as an emulsifier in the production of polyurethane foam. The food industry is used as an ice cream emulsifier with an amount of 0.1% butter, and the general amount of oil is about 1%. |
