Detailed Description:
Cas No. :9005-64-5 Tween is a condensate of Span (Span, sorbitol aliphatic acid ester) and ethylene oxide. Because of the large amount of hydrophilic group-polyoxyethylene in its molecule, it has strong hydrophilicity and is a nonionic detergent. It is often used as an oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifier; it can be combined with other emulsifiers such as sodium lauryl sulfate or Span to increase the stability of the emulsion. It can also be used as a solubilizer for certain drugs.
