The main chain is unsaturated aliphatic and aromatic. The group is a pigment with diketone which is very rare in the plant world. It is a diketone compound. It is a commonly used seasoning and food coloring. It is non-toxic, has choleretic, anti-infective, causes paroxysmal contraction of the uterus, lowers blood cholesterol, Antiviral, antibacterial, anti-oxidation (stronger than α-tocopherol), anticoagulant, hypolipidemic and anti-atherosclerosis and other pharmacological effects.
