m-Phenylenediamine (MPD) is a solid at room temperature, with a slight aromatic odor. Melting point: 63.2 deg C (145.8 deg F); boiling point 284 deg C (543 deg F) (at 1,013 hPa). MPD is not classified as explosive and is not oxidizing. It is soluble in water, alcohol, and most organic solvents.
