M C S M（Modified CSM ）
Chemical name: Modified Chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber
Features of MCSM
MCSM rubber is one kind of Modified Chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber, white or little yellowlish. The air impermeability is equality to the Halogenated butyl rubber,but the oil resistance is better than the Chloroprene rubber, the elastomer featured the superior compatibility with Diene rubbers.
Usage of MCSM
The elastomer is mailnly applicated in the seal part(inner linner) of the tire rubber, and in the other product which needs functional of oil resistance, ozone resistance, weather resistance, shock resistance.,etc.
Take part place of and mix with Bromobutyl rubber when applicated in the tyre’s inner linner layer, the adviced portion is 5-10 phr, but the vulcanizing speed will be a little slow down.
There is an obvious improvement of the air tightness and mechanical properties when the MCSM was complexed with the other rubbers. The elastomer could be applicated in the cable coat to instead of Chloroprene rubber also.
