Quantity: 5000Metric Tons Payment Method: L/C The socket welding flange is similar to a slip-on flange except it has a bore and a counterbore dimension. The counterbore is slightly larger than the O.D. of the matching pipe, allowing the pipe to be inserted into the flange similar to a slip-on flange. The diameter of the smaller bore is the same as the I.D. of the matching pipe. A restruction is builtinto the bottom of the bore which sets as a shoulder forthe pipe to rest on.This eliminates any restruction in flow when using a socket welding flange. Socket flanges with a hub have published specifications that range from 1/2" thru 24". CSM provides Socket Weld pipe flanges in all material grades, specifications and sizes.
