    Gujarat Narmada Vally Fertilizers Company Ltd. (GNFC) tied up with Chematur Engineering AB, Sweden, to put up India's largest single stream Aniline Plant and India's first plant to manufacture Toluene Di-Isocyanate(TDI).Thus was born NCPL, a company dedicated to the cause of customer empowerment.

    Along with the successful commercial launch of NCPL's first product, Aniline, which is used as raw material for dyes and dye intermediates, rubber chemicals, Methylene Di-Phenylene Di-isocyanate(MDI) and pharmaceuticals. NCPL sensing an immense market potential in TDI, a vital raw material for flexible polyurethane foam, set up the first ever plant to produce TDI in the country. In August 1994, NCPL came out with a public issue to part finance the implementation if Aniline and TDI plants.

    Besides Aniline and Toluene Di-Isocyanate, NCPL also manufactures Nitrobenzene, Liquid Nitrogen, Meta Tolune Diamine (MTD) and Ortho Toluene Diamine(OTD). It also trying to explore opportunities in the rigid polyurethane business arena, thereby, making it among the most customer-oriented companies in its field.
