Cetex Petrochemicals is the largest manufacturer of Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) and Secondary Butanol (SBA) in India. The Company established in 1990 with German technology is located at Chennai (Madras), South India. Cetex Petrochemicals is a member company of the RPG Enterprises, one of the largest Industrial houses in India with a turnover exceeding USD 1.37 billion. The plant is located about 20 Kms north of Chennai in the Manali Industrial Belt. Feedstock is drawn by pipeline from the neighbouring Madras Refineries. The quality of MEK and SBA produced by Cetex is to international standards.

    A well established country-wide network of Area Offices and stock points helps Cetex reach even the smallest customer. Besides the Plant and Head Office which are located in Chennai, we have Area Offices at Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Hyderabad and Kandla. Further, we have established stock points at Delhi, Faridabad, Noida, Mumbai, Vadodara, Calcutta, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai, where we maintain stock in drums to cater to the immediate requirements of our customers.

    Besides manufacturing activities, Cetex has a Trading Division which imports chemicals and solvents from leading multinational companies across the world and markets the same using our distribution network. We are the largest importer of Iso Propyl Alcohol (IPA) into India. We also import other chemicals like Solvent C- IX, Methylene Chloride, Methanol, Toluene and Normal Butanol on spot basis. Most of our bulk imports are through Kandla where Cetex has its own office for coordinating all C & F activities at the port. We also have storage tanks on long-term lease at Kandla.
