Born and educated in Damascus/Syria He started his trading business in1938 as an assistant to his fatherHis ambition was beyond that, so he established his own import-export business in the mid40's. One of the main imported products was decorative paint.

    In 1951 he was a share holder and the general manager of one of the biggest companies in Syria at that time, i.e. KASSIOUN Trading & Mechanical Works Co; Which represented the well known German companyMAGIRUS-DEUTZ,in field of trucks,buses, fire extinguishing vehicles,卐tc.In 1962, the workshops for building bodies on trucks and bus chassis had to be closed because regulations prohibited imports of diesel operated engines..

    Consequently, he concentrated on paints. He bought an old paint factory and started producing his own brands in 1963. He worked hard to learn the "secrets" of paint manufacturingHe strove incessantly until he achieved his goal, a fact which prompted himto buy new machineries which were installed in a new industrial location.His continued success prompted him again to establish another modern paints factory to cover the needs of the ever growing demand of paints especially in the nitrocellulosic, industrial, automotive refinishes and ending in acrylics.

    He was a self-made man, ambitious, hard working, respectful, friendly and above all honest.On 12.07.1998, he passed away leaving the management of the most modern paints factory in the hands of his two sons, namely Maher Azmeh (mechanical engineer) and Samer Azmeh (Chemist).In commemoration of his deeds, we pay tribute to him asking GOD almighty to rest his soul in peace.

    Background:Azmeh Company established in 1955, Azmeh paint factory one of its subsidiaries, was one of the very few paint factories in the region at that time. Its aim and strategy since then has been quality which is considered more important than quantity. Distinguished industrial products, the most important of which was the auto-repair range.

    A new factory was built in 1972 with new machineries and todate technology.Success was achieved all along until the range covered almost all knownproducts in this field.In 1989, the factory was moved into its new location in Tel- Kurdi (25 km east of Damascus) to be one of the most famous, developed and modern factories in Syria supported by a high standard back-up provided by the laboratory which isone of the most advanced paint laboratories in the area. Now the company employs more than one hundred personnel divided between technicians, adminisrators and workers, all are producing under principle "quality second to none. Barely one can find a paint shop without Azmeh products which almost every consumer can not stay without.In export, taking into consideration the high demand of local market,Azmeh products have been exported to some neighboring countries .
