TC-POLYQUTA 125 / 400 / 400LR/ 3000 is a moderate viscosity quaternized conditioning polymer. It is a prepared by reacting a trimethyl ammonium substituted epoxide onto the hydroxyl groups of the hydroxyethyl cellulose backbone. This reaction yields a polymer with a dispersed series of cationic charges along the polymer chain. It is a free flowing granular powder that can be readily dissolved in water without heating, prolonged stirring, or excessive agitation. Because of its cationic nature, it is substantive to protein substrates. This makes it an excellent hair care additive, which provides superb wet combability, good manageability, curl retention and hair setting characteristics. Additionally, it builds viscosity of aqueous solutions, making the use of an auxiliary thickener unnecessary. It can be used with cationic surfactant and reducing irritative to skin and eyes.
