AMOT Controls first began operations back in the late 1940's under the name American Motors Co., using as its trademark the contraction "AMOT". After the formation of the automotive group of the same name several years later, the firm's title was changed to AMOT Controls Corporation, to agree with its well known trademark.

    AMOT's international engineering, sales and service people have a broad range of expertise, from state-of-the-art electronics to vast experience in the engine, compressor and heavy equipment fields. Working closely with our customers keeps us constantly in touch with today's highly specialized control application requirements and has led to the introduction of an expanding line of control products. AMOT now offers customers a choice of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and electronic control components, many fabricated in stainless steel, or "Gulfproofed" (to provide corrosion protection for seacoast atmospheres) for a wide range of industrial and marine controls applications.
