Norquay Technology, Inc.
Norquay was founded in 1987 with a focus to develop a product line and custom synthesis for custom proprietary products. Our niche is the demanding low volume commercialization of specific molecules for high performance applications. The volumes range form 50 to 50,000+ lbs., requiring high quality product at demanding delivery and economic targets. Norquay brings scale-up and process optimization to reduce costs and cycle times while understanding the chemical synthesis. The manufacture of products with sales of $50,000 to $1+ million per year is under-served by the custom synthesis market. Norquay's focus on this market is as a single or dual source to the customer as a key niche supplier.
Norquay manufactures pharmaceutical, photographic, electronic, polyolefin metallocene catalyst and UV stabilizer product lines. Specific products include UV Stabilizers (plastic, film and cosmetic), Metallocene single site catalysts, phenyl hydrazines, indoles, HPLC Grade alkyl sulfonates, high purity compounds (electronic, photographic and pharmaceutical). Given the nature of the business cycle, the diversifications across numerous industries keep Norquay product commercialization pipeline full, and thereby reduce costs to the customer. Historically, Norquay has grown to meet the customer requirements via equipment expansion.
Norquay's business is split between product line and custom synthesis. Export is an important growth area, with representatives for specific product lines in Europe, Asia, Central and South America.
New products are evaluated with preference to extensions of current product lines. Norquay works under secrecy agreements to scale from bench to pilot plant to commercialization.
Norquay as a member of the Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers Association (SOCMA) is a Responsible Care瓹ompany
