Harcros Chemicals Inc is a major distributor and producer of industrial chemicals. Privately held since a management buy-out in 2001, the Company began business in 1917 as Thompson-Hayward Chemicals, and in 1961 was purchased by North American Philips. In 1981, Harrisons and Crosfield plc purchased the bulk of the business from Philips, subsequently changing the name to Harcros Chemicals Inc.

The core business of Harcros is the distribution of industrial chemicals. With twenty-eight branches in twenty states, Harcros provides excellent geographic coverage, primarily in the Midwest and Southeast. The Harcros Organics Division produces surfactants, emulsifiers, defoamers, and a myriad of specialty products at the plant site in Kansas City, KS.

Harcros is committed to safety, quality, and responsible operations. The Organics plant in Kansas City maintains ISO 9001 registration, as do the distribution branches in Memphis, Mobile, Nashville, Nashua, Oklahoma City, Shreveport, St. Louis, Thomasville, and Tulsa. Other facilities will achieve ISO certification in the future.

Harcros is a member of the National Association of Chemical Distributors and is committed to all facets of the NACD Responsible Distribution Process. Internal audit teams were formed in 1994 to ensure compliance with this important product stewardship initiative.
