Kao Specialties Americas LLC (KSA) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kao Corporation, Tokyo, Japan. Kao Corporation is a $7 billion conglomerate established in 1887 that develops, manufactures and markets personal care, industrial, information, and chemical products.Originally a textile chemical company founded in 1945, High Point Chemical Corporation was acquired by Kao in 1987. On January 1, 2000 High Point Chemical Corporation was restructured into Kao Specialties Americas LLC (KSA).

Toner Binder. Unique polyester resins are key ingredients used to manufacture toners for the reprographics industry - copiers, printers and fax machines.Pulp & Paper. Surfactants formulated to facilitate removal of ink during paper recycling - improving the brightness of paper. Surfactants. Nonionic, anionic, cationic and amphoteric surfactants for agriculture, food, personal care, construction, mining, petroleum, plastic, household products and coatings industries. Custom manufacturing is available. Aroma and Oleo Chemicals. Aroma chemicals, natural alcohols, amines and other specialty chemicals from Kao are imported for many industrial users.
Our location has not changed. Our 57-acre site in High Point, North Carolina, features three computer controlled manufacturing plants: High Temperature Reactors and Mix/Blend ; Surfactant (EO/PO) and Toner Binder. KSA is a member of the Chemical Manufacturer' Association and participates in the Responsible Care Initiative. The safety of our associates and our surroundings is the primary concern of KSA.
