The Ceramic Powders and Shapes product line includes specialty ceramic powders such as boron nitride and titanium diboride (TiB2) and hot pressed shapes of boron nitride and composites containing boron nitride.

    The primary value of these materials is their physical, chemical, and/or thermal properties that allow them to be used in extreme service applications or provide properties that few other materials exhibit. Boron nitride, for example, is one of the few materials that is both a thermal conductor and an electrical insulator. Furthermore, it is suitable for high temperature applications up to 3000 degrees C, and is inert to most molten metals and salts.

    CPS products are sold in many niche markets within various industries. The more important industries are electronics, aerospace, abrasives, advanced materials, plastic films and paper converting.
