Mertas has been serving the Water Treatment Sector as a manufacturer and as the exclusive distributor of the European and American companies since 1974, and has been serving the hotels, hospitals, factories, holiday villages, apartments and flats and all the others along with the sector's other firms in accordance with their problems and their needs.
As the first producer of salt tablets and the first installer of many new types of water treatment systems like the reverse osmosis system or the purification system for dialysis centres, Mertas is playing an initiative role for the market. She operates in two production sites in Ankara, and one in Istanbul.

Mertas is also the exclusive distributor of the expertised German water treatment firms, CWG GmbH and TKA.
Mertas' long experience of the industry has been available to non-Turkey companies for the last decade especially after the MCR Water Treatment Systems was established in Istanbul Trakya Free Trade Zone.
