Uses

Used in the production of epoxy resin and used as a thinner for epoxy resin. It is also used in the manufacture of glycerin, nitroglycerin explosives, FRP, glycerol methacrylate, chlorohydrin rubber, glycidol derivatives, surfactants, electrical insulation products, etc. It is also a common raw material for the manufacture of various adhesives, medicines, pesticides, plasticizers and ion exchange resins. And as a solvent for adhesives, coatings, paints, rubber, resins, cellulose esters and cellulose ethers.

Fire-fighting measures

Its steam mixes with air to form explosives, which will decompose, explode and burn when exposed to open flames.

Use foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, sand to extinguish the fire

Emergency treatment

Skin contact: Take off contaminated clothing, rinse thoroughly with plenty of running water for at least 15 minutes, and seek medical attention.

Eye contact: immediately open the upper and lower eyelids, rinse with running water or saline for at least 15 minutes, and seek medical attention.

Inhalation: Leave the scene quickly to a place with fresh air, keep the respiratory tract unobstructed, give oxygen when breathing is difficult, and immediately perform artificial respiration and seek medical attention when breathing stops.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water immediately, drink milk or egg white, and seek medical attention.

Packaging, storage, transportation

Packing: galvanized iron, 200 kg per barrel. Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. The storage temperature should not exceed 30℃. It should be stored separately from acids, alkalis, and edible chemicals, and should not be mixed. Store and transport in accordance with regulations for flammable and toxic substances
